Using our shop facilities, we are
capable of performing various mechanical measurements on discrete
components and assemblies. Some examples of this testing are:
Modal
measurements for validation of analytical models, such as free-free
testing of rotating groups

Acoustic or proximity measurements of blade vibration for quality
control, material substitutions, or vendor qualification
Bench-top setup and checkout of data acquisition systems
Shake table evaluations of components or complete assemblies up to 1000
lbm total weight

Some of these measurements require the fabrication of
test fixtures to properly hold or simulate the in-service use of the
component being tested. We have the capability to design and build
special test hardware that will adequately clamp or support the
component such that repeatable and accurate data can be obtained without
damaging the test articles.
